Prologue

Rhea's jaw tightened as she glared at the man sitting across from her, lounging in his leather chair like he owned not just the room, but her fate. His fingers tapped lazily against the desk, his expression one of pure amusement.

"You can't do this to me, Mr. Singhania," she spat, arms crossed, fury burning in her hazel eyes.

Ranmay's smirk widened, eyes gleaming with mischief. He tilted his head, as if savoring the moment. "Oh, but I can, Miss Rhea… Oops, I meant—soon-to-be Mrs. Singhania."

Her nails dug into her palm. "Never in your dreams will I marry you."

He chuckled, leaning back, arms draped over the chair like he was watching an entertaining show. "Don't talk about dreams, sweetheart. You wouldn't be able to stomach the things I dream about when it comes to you."

Rhea sucked in a sharp breath, refusing to let the heat creep up her face. "Just shut up, Mr. Singhania."

Ranmay sighed dramatically, shaking his head as if she had just disappointed him. "I will… but first, sign these papers, Miss Rhea." With a flick of his wrist, he slid the marriage contract toward her, reclining back like he already knew the outcome.

She pushed the papers away without looking. "I won’t sign."

His grin turned lazy, almost boyish—but the gleam in his eyes was anything but innocent. He rested his chin on his hand, watching her like a predator toying with its prey.

"You will," he murmured, his voice dripping with certainty.

And somehow, that scared her more

than anything.
